Bjorn Again!

Hi, its been a lil while.... but I thought I would share a little side project I have been tinkering with over the last few days.....

Having found most of my old metal Bjorn Fell handed dreadnought, scattered in various bits boxes after he fell from a great height a few years ago... I decided to resurrect him.... using a second hand assault on black reach dread I picked up from my FLGS, and the plasma-uber-ludicrous-cannon off an old epic imperator class titan, and a rather nice forgeworld dreadnought base I found in another bits box (it only took 20mins with a sanding block and a chisel to get the bottom of it flat..... probably my best experience yet with FW resin products....)

so anyway here is what I have done.....

1st up is a quick shot of the plasma cannon roughly attached to the shoulder armour from the black-reach dreadnought, with  the original multi-melta for comparison purposes..... yep.. the new plasma-cannon is suitably impressive for a character of Bjorns stature....

and now just a couple of shots of the whole thing put together....

I added a piece of plastic to complete the armour on the modified arm... I will probably bow to convention and add some rivets before I paint it.... just to help it blend in..... and a little GS should sort out the purity seal...

Luckily about the only bit of my original model that was still in one piece was the lightning claws style arm... which is handy because its probably the most personal piece, with the wolf cloak and his trademark weapon.... and as you can see I managed to salvage the front plate with the use of a razor saw.. and have attached that to the BR chassis also.....

now I just want to add a few more space wolfy totems and details... then its time to try and paint over that nasty glossy green paint...

thanks for reading..... TWTs

  2. Looking good; always loved the Bjorn model and concept, of a slightly doddery 10,000 year old Dreadnought.

Looking forwards to watching this unfold. :)
