As I said, its been a while... and Hobby has had to take a back seat to some rather larger projects over the last couple of weeks.... mostly repairing my car and a little bit of work on my other hobby... An '85 F150 which has been hiding in my mum's garage for almost 13 years.... apparently she feels its about time I got it finished......
All this means I have no progress to show..... however I did get a Game in this afternoon.... Malifaux this time.... 42 soulstones each side Rasputina taking on Lady Justice....
My crew selection ended up looking like this.... all part painted....
That is: Rasputina, centre front in the stripey stockings, Snow-Storm, the big thing with antlers, A Gunsmith, back rowbehind Raspy, An Ice-Golem also back row, an Ice- Gamin front row next to Raspy, a Silent One, back right, and a December Acolyte, front right.
My opponent ran Lady Justice, an Executioner, 3 Death Marshals, a Judge, Samael Hopkins, Scales of Justice, and 2 Guild Hounds.
Most of which can be seen above(1 Death Marshal was missing being glued).
I flipped a 12 for strategy so ended up with treasure hunt, while my opponent flipped 13 and had Turf war. This meant I had to recover a counter from the centre of the board and take it back to my deployment zone, whiile he had to get more of his crew into my half of the board than I had members in his half of the board....
Initially I set up my crew together in the centre of my deployment zone as close as possible to my objective, and then once the guild had deployed all in one corner to my left placed my December Acolyte in the piece of scenery next to the one containing my objective counter....
The first couple of turns were basically just maneuvering towards each other... with my Acolyte grabbing the treasure and scampering off towards my deployment area....
by the ned of turn 3 My Acolyte had managed to get back into my deployment zone, and I had managed to add several ice pillar markers to the board (building some actual ice pillars is a future project)
Turn 4 saw a little scuffle.... my Gunsmith and then the Ice golem injuring then killing a Death marshal
before the gunsmith got gunned down by one of his fellows.
turn 5 saw me Cheat a Red Joker for damage against the Judgewith Snow-Storm.. reulting in 9 points of damage and a dead Judge.
Followed by some brutally "Overpowered" Decembers Curse from Raspy reulting in a dead Lady J and another Dead Death Marshal, Samael survived... with 1 wound left...
The Executioner charged in to avenge the Judge. but owing to his "Spirit" type Snow-Storm survives. Then adds insult to injury in the next turn, by flipping a red joker for damage against the Executioner, Killing him in 1 hit!
With Snow-Storm's "Eat yer Fill" abillity allowing him to completely heal all his wounds, Samael on only 1 wound and only 2 Guild hounds left, my opponent called it a day leaving me victorious!!!!
Should anyone wish to read my opponents views of this battle, I'm sure his own pictures and Bat-rep will soon appear on the
Wizard Workshop Facebook Page where you can find quite a few more of his Bat-reps along with a selection of WIP and finished images of what they are working on at my FLGS.
Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed it and hopefully have another post in a week or so....
